Long considered a “diamond in the rough”, Rwanda coffees have finally made their mark in the high-quality coffee world. Earthy, full-bodied, and a lingering finish with sugar cane notes.   While normal coffee cherries develop two seeds (beans!), approximately 7% will develop just one seed in the coffee cherry. This “peaberry” is considered by many to contain a higher concentration of the coffee’s flavor essence. Lively acidity, mild body, and a clean finish are the memorable characteristics of this African coffee from the slopes of Mt. Kilmanjaro.
