As plant manager for Island Coffee® and a well seasoned professional coffee roaster, Billy is uniquely qualified with a broad understanding of the specialty coffee industry and the responsibility for maintaining and enhancing specialty coffee quality standards.

Billy is co-founder and lead organizer for the Southeast Roasters Cult (SERC).
His desire to learn from and share with others in the specialty coffee industry makes him a valuable asset to Island Coffee and the specialty coffee industry.

Billy is a member of The Barista Guild of America, has been a certified sensory judge for the Southeast USA Regional Barista Championship, a brewing technician for the Specialty Coffee Association of America's (SCAA) Golden Cup and is also a certified technician for La Marzocco, Rancilio, & Astoria espresso machines. He is also qualified and a trained for Nuova Simonelli espresso machines.
